This portrait is my way of showing my admiration for Marie Curie, the Polish-born French scientist who did amazing research on radioactivity and won two Nobel prizes in physics and chemistry. I like her story, her passion and her skill in finding the elements polonium and radium and using them for medical purposes. I used pictograms related to Curie as the mosaic pieces to express her scientific work and legacy. I named the portrait The Radiant Queen of Knowledge because she was an incredible woman who dedicated her life to the progress of science and knowledge. She was also the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win two Nobel prizes in different fields.
